My Journey

I thought I was this strong woman who didn’t need help. I believed I could go at it alone, conquer every obstacle, and emerge victorious. But the truth is, life threw me a curveball that I wasn’t prepared for.

All my life, challenges were my allies. My life’s motto was “challenge accepted,” and once I set my mind on something, there was no turning back – even if it meant going down with the ship! I thrived on pushing myself to the limit and conquering every hurdle in my path. Failure was not an option; winning was the only outcome I accepted. I used to think that every challenge in life was like my arch-nemesis, and there was no way I would back down. But hey, sometimes you’ve got to accept that not every challenge is meant to be conquered with sheer determination and stubbornness.

However, this time around, the challenge was different. It wasn’t a competition that I could win with sheer determination and grit. It required me to step back, reassess my approach, and accept that asking for help doesn’t make me weak; it makes me human.

I struggled because I refused to acknowledge that some battles are meant to be fought together, not alone. And in embracing this vulnerability, I discovered a strength unlike any other – the strength to seek support when needed and the courage to admit that even the strongest warriors need a helping hand sometimes. Embrace the support and laughter that comes with sharing the load – trust me, it makes the journey a lot more fun! So here’s to embracing the struggle with a sense of humor and learning to laugh at our own stubbornness along the way!

Lesson learned – with a side of humble pie!
